Event terms & refunds

Plain English, because you should know exactly what you’ve bought. These terms cover pairs reserved online for the SpecStation Summer Event, running across our three kiosks between 18–26 July. Exact event days depend on which kiosk you choose — your order summary and confirmation email always show your specific dates. Regent Optical Group Limited, trading as SpecStation™.

What you’ve reserved

Your payment reserves your event price and pre-pays for one complete pair — frame, lenses, free anti-reflective coating, and any upgrades you chose. You choose your frame in person at the kiosk. Single vision pairs are typically glazed while you wait. Varifocals are precision-made and are typically ready 5–7 working days after your visit.

If you can’t make your event weekend

No problem. We’ll hold your event price until the Friday following your kiosk’s event weekend — the exact date is shown on your order confirmation and in your confirmation email. Come in any time before then and nothing changes. After that date your reservation still stands, but any difference between your event price and our standard price becomes payable.

Your prescription

You’re responsible for entering your prescription accurately, and it should be a current, valid prescription. Our qualified team checks every order before anything is made, and we’ll confirm the details with you at the kiosk. If we’ve misread something, we fix it at our cost. If the numbers you entered don’t match your prescription and the correct lenses cost more, the difference is payable on the day. If they cost less, we refund the difference.

Refunds and changes

• Changed your mind before we make your lenses? Full refund, no admin fee. Email or call and we’ll take care of it.
• Don’t like the frames on the day? Choose a different one from the event range at no extra cost, or take a full refund before we start glazing.
• Once your lenses are made — because prescription lenses are made to your personal specification, they’re not returnable simply because you’ve changed your mind (this is a standard exception to distance-selling cancellation rights for bespoke goods).
• Something isn’t right? That’s different. Your legal rights are untouched. If a pair is faulty, wrongly made, or not as described, we’ll remake or refund it. Bring it back and we’ll put it right.
• Not adapting to your new glasses? Come and see us within 30 days — we’ll recheck the fit and the lenses.
• Refunds go back to the card you paid with, normally within 5 working days.

Availability and lens suitability

The event range and lens options are subject to availability. A very small number of prescriptions or lens combinations can’t be made exactly as ordered (for example, unusually strong prescriptions, or certain colour and coating combinations). If yours is one of them we’ll contact you before making anything, talk you through the best option, and refund you in full if you’d rather not go ahead.

Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices include VAT where applicable.

Your data

We use your details to prepare your order, contact you about it, and keep the clinical record we are required to keep. We don’t sell your data. Ask us any time to see or delete what we hold.
